According to recent surveys, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are in a close battle. Harris and Trump are tied at 49% and both are inside the margin of error. Pennsylvania is one of the swing states where polls indicate a close race, with 84% of Black people expecting to vote for Harris and 12% for Trump. Voters' perceptions of Harris are somewhat more positive than they were in July, following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race, according to a recent survey by The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research. The percentage of respondents who think that Trump or Harris would change the country for the better well or very well did not change, despite Trump's continuing favorable ratings.
