Jamie Foxx has been accused by a woman of sexual assault at a New York City restaurant.
As per the complaint filed by the woman in New York Supreme Court on Wednesday, the incident took place in August 2015 at Catch NYC.
The victim alleged that she saw Foxx, 55, sitting «one table away having drinks with» Catch Hospitality Group co-founder Mark Birnbaump.
At 1.00 am, she along with her friend approached the Academy Award winner for a picture. “Sure baby, anything for you,” she claimed he replied and proceeded to take “several photographs.”
As per court records, the woman alleged that Foxx “seemed intoxicated.”
The victim claims that the actor, whose real name is Eric Marlon Bishop, told her, “Wow, you have that super model body”, “You smell so good” and “You look like Nickie.” When she enquired “Who’s Nickie?,” Foxx said, “Gabrielle Union.” The victim alleged that the actor then pulled her to the back area of the rooftop and started touching her inappropriately.
She claimed she tried to move away from him and noticed a security guard “some distance away who saw what was happening but walked further away.” The woman said the actor continued to touch her.
The woman stated that during this time, her friend emerged, and upon noticing the other woman, Foxx halted and approached the security guard.
The victim claimed that due to his actions, she was «injured [and] was rendered sick, sore, lame and disabled; [and] was caused to undergo medical treatment and advice.»
Additionally, she mentioned that she «was unable to pursue her usual and regular activities, was caused to undergo great conscious pain and suffering, continues to undergo such, and will permanently be affected by the injuries and emotional distress she
