In the post, Dewan, 44, humorously acknowledged her maternity leave, writing, «Someone was being born» in reference to her time away while welcoming her daughter. She assured fans, «But keep watching ...» giving a sneak peek into her character’s upcoming return to the action-packed drama.
For those who’ve been following The Rookie since its premiere in 2018, Dewan’s character, Bailey Nune, has been noticeably absent in the early part of Season 7. While Bailey was off-screen, the show explained that her character had been deployed overseas with the National Guard. According to showrunner Alexi Hawley, fans can expect Bailey to make her grand return at the end of Episode 3.
