Jio Star, the newly formed entity resulting from the merger of Star India and Viacom18, has filed its broadcast tariff, positioning itself as the premium broadcaster in the industry.

The broadcaster has created 83 packs comprising 134 channels, including 85 standard definition (SD), 44 high definition (HD), and 5 free-to-air (FTA) channels.
Apart from Star India and Viacom18 channels, the bouquets also include 19 news channels from Network18 and infotainment channels from AETN18, a joint venture between Network18 and A+E Networks.
As per the reference interconnect offer (RIO), the Star Value Pack (SVP) Hindi and SVP Hindi Basic packs for standard definition (SD) channels have been priced at Rs 110 each—representing an 18% increase over the combined individual Hindi base packs of Star India and Viacom18, which were priced at Rs 59 and Rs 34, respectively.
The broadcaster is offering almost 30 channels in the bouquet across general entertainment, movie, infotainment, kids and sports genres. It has also created bouquet options for regional languages such as Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Odia, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam.
