The Biden government is vehemently formulating strategy in the form of a new set of rules that will regulate the export of advanced computer chips to other nations, especially those countries that are ascertained to be a threat to US' national security.
However, there is another argument that is cropping up around these new rules in place, that suggests that the new rules will also bring an adverse effect of chips that are exported to countries for video games and other computer purposes. This is one part that is being mulled upon for the time being, as per an AP report.
Meanwhile, White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan has stated that the new framework would help in getting the most out of AI, and keep things within the grip of United States and its closest allies, instead of possibly getting offshored.
