Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner as the celebrity couple is officially headed for divorce after a 4-year long marriage.
According to public records obtained by CNN. The Jonas Brothers band member has filed for divorce from his wife and the petition for it was submitted in Miami Dade County, Florida.
The divorce petition states that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” as grounds for dissolution.
The couple's romance first blossomed in 2016, and their engagement followed in 2017.
Over the years, they became parents to two daughters, born in 2020 and 2022.
Jonas is now seeking joint custody of their children, with the divorce filing revealing the existence of a prenuptial agreement.
Their journey together fascinated many, with Jonas making their engagement public on Instagram, sharing a photo of Turner proudly displaying her ring, accompanied by the simple yet heartwarming caption, «she said yes.»
The star couple's tale together as husband and wife started with not one but two wedding ceremonies. The first one was an impromptu celebration in Las Vegas in 2019, following the Billboard Music Awards.
