Scarlett Johannsson was announced as the female lead in the upcoming Jurassic World movie, currently in the development stage. Now, their excitement seems to have taken a crazy turn as Mahershala Ali, a two-time Oscar winner, is currently in talks to join the cast of the upcoming film.
Ali was last seen in Netflix’s hit thriller 'Leave the World Behind', and will be in the pipeline for a hit role in Universal’s new Jurassic World feature alongside the likes of Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend and Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, who are almost finalized into the team, apart from Scarlett, according to 'The Hollywood Reporter'.

The production, according to reports, will start in mid-June, beginning in London, after the primary cast list is finalized. Gareth Edwards is going to spearhead the project as the director while David Koepp, will yet again pick up his creative pen and weave the interesting plots of the Jurassic film, like he has successfully done earlier with Jurassic Park (1993) and The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997).
Universal Studios is currently the backbone of the entire project and has set a date of July 2, 2025, for its theatrical release. This means that it has close to a year to put things in order wrap up post-production within the scheduled time and prepare for the release. Even though the timeline looks a bit hurried, it is hopeful that Jurassic World's new film will see some of the finest talents
