Kamala Harris is having a lead over former US President Donald Trump by near about 5 points amongst likely voters. According to The Hill, Kamala Harris garnered a support of 52 per cent whereas Donald Trump got around 47 per cent support and this poll survey marks an increase for Kamala Harris from a previous poll which was conducted back in September where she was just leading by 2 points.
The Hill reported that among the registered voters, the performance of the Donald Trump- JD Vance ticket is slightly better while Democratic Presidential nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Walz is trailing behind by 3 points.

Another interesting fact which was noted by The Hill is that Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump has a striking lead among the Independents where he secured 54% support in comparison to Kamala Harris’s 44% support. The poll survey also highlighted the fact that higher voter turnout might benefit Kamala Harris as she tends to perform better with likely voters.
Gender gap is also expected to play a pretty crucial role with Donald Trump being more appealing to male voters while Kamala Harris resonating more with the female voters. The Hill noted that the Marist Poll surveyed around 1,401 likely voters while having a margin of error of 3.9 per cent points.
