The ‘Kabhie Khushie Kabhie Gham’ director, who is on vacation in England, was out on the streets of London with his twins Yash and Roohi and was recognised by some of his diaspora fans, whom he obliged for a few selfies.
One of them, a TikTok influencer named Zane Thadani referred to him as an uncle. The ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’ director was seen looking scandalised and asked, “Did you just call me an uncle?” before walking away. “Thanks for the collab uncle,” Thadani wrote in the caption while sharing the video.
When a social media user commented that Zane's behavior was 'rude,' he responded, «He liked it, came back to me afterward, and asked for a selfie!» He continued, «I have it, lol. He knows who I am. He even reposted the video to his story, lol.»
The clip has gone viral on Instagram, with over 42K likes. Some fans called out Zane for deliberately referring to the director as “uncle.”
