Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo from November 11, Kerala’s Industries, Law & Coir Minister P Rajeeve said as part of the southern state’s efforts to drive investments in the emerging areas of technology.
The event, the minister told ET, would showcase his state’s spirit and reputation as a welcoming destination for businesses. “Kerala has rapidly emerged as a magnet for global conferences and high-impact events, thanks to its business-friendly environment, robust infrastructure, and forward-looking policies that support growth in technology and sustainable development,” he said.
The CIOs and IT executives from leading companies, while in Kochi, would also experience Kerala’s culture of tradition and innovation as they explore the latest trends and strategies in IT and digital transformation, Rajeeve said.
Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation (KSIDC), he said, has signed an MoU with Gartner, to promote collaboration and drive investments in the technology and innovation sectors. Kerala’s adaptive industrial ecosystem, and warm hospitality are setting a new standard, drawing investors to be part of the state’s growth story, the minister said.
The state came under praise, along with Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat, in September by Union Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal for what he called their «remarkable reforms in streamlining processes and providing efficient services to businesses and citizens alike.» Goyal, who spoke after felicitating the top performances under the Business Reforms Action Plan (BRAP)
