Meanwhile, the victim's parents said that they wanted death sentence of Roy and claimed that many others were behind the crime who should also be punished.
In two phases, a hearing will take place on Monday. At 12-12.30PM, when Sanjoy Roy will be heard while in the second half the quantum of punishment will be announced.
Amid tight security, Roy was brought to Sealdah Court while the whole area was cordoned off with unprecedented security.
On Saturday, Justice Anirban Das of Sealdah Civil and Criminal Court Roy found guilty under Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita Sections 63, 64 and 103, where the highest punishment will be death sentence while the lowest may be life imprisonment.
