London's Heathrow airport power outage: 'Sat on the cold, hard floor for hours, it's chaos', say passengers
The disruption could go on for days, Heathrow said, as it warned passengers not to travel to the airport «under any circumstances» until it reopens. More than 1,300 flights have been affected, tracking website Flightradar24 said, and passengers have been told not to travel to the airport until further notice.
Thousands of passengers faced inconvenience after the power outage and their travel plans were thrown into disarray after Heathrow Airport shut on Friday. Many passengers who were already in the air spoke about the massive disruption that ensued after they were diverted to other airports, or turned back to where they had departed from.

'Waited four hours to be told flight was cancelled'
A passenger named Emily Adler was on her flight back from India after a holiday but the captain, midway, woke everybody up and said «we're on our way back to Delhi», reported BBC. «We've just been told to wait by our bags, we don't know what's happening next… it's just starting to be chaos.»

On the other hand, in New York Danielle, from Shropshire, said she and her parents were left to fend for themselves at JFK Airport after their British Airways flight was cancelled. She told the BBC that passengers had boarded the plane on Thursday but then were left on the tarmac, she said.
