Loss of followers? No, Taylor Swift has gained more than 1.8 million on Spotify after Kamala Harris endorsement
Taylor Swift endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris last month, post which her popularity increased, defying Donald Trump's forecast that she would pay a price for it in the marketplace. Since supporting Kamala Harris for president on Spotify, Taylor Swift has amassed more than 1.8 million followers.
Swift's number of Spotify followers increased by 1.85 million to 122.56 million as of October 3 following her announcement on September 10 that she will support Harris in the U.S. presidential race, as per statistics provided by analytics firm Chartmetric. According to the most recent data from Chartmetric, Swift is presently only surpassed by Indian musician Arijit Singh.
Some Trump backers have attempted to argue that Swift has lost fan support as a result of her Harris endorsement by citing another statistic, the number of Spotify monthly listeners. Swift's monthly listener count has decreased by almost 3% since September 10—down 3 million to 91.4 million.

But this is misleading; Swift’s monthly listener totals are coming off all-time highs for the singer, following the release of her 11th studio album, ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ on April 19, 2024.
