investigation by the Anti-Corruption Department for allegedly possessing assets disproportionate to his income. The employee, Om Prakash Singh, has reportedly spent much more on acquiring properties than his legal income allows over the past nine years.
The Anti-Corruption Department began investigating Om Prakash Singh following orders from the government. They found that from January 1, 2013, to May 31, 2022, Singh earned a total of Rs 33,58,867 from sources such as his salary, bonuses, and bank interest.
However, during this period, Singh spent Rs 1,02,88,143 on obtaining and maintaining both movable and immovable properties. His expenditure exceeds his legitimate income by Rs 69.29 lakh.
In June 2022, the Joint Secretary of the Home Department ordered an inquiry into Singh's properties. When asked to provide an account of his income and expenses, Singh was unable to give a satisfactory explanation. Consequently, the Anti-Corruption Department has filed a case against him and is taking further action.
