Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) and the Mahayuti alliance are leaving no stone unturned to secure their positions. Elaborate measures, including booking five-star hotels, arranging chartered flights, and initiating negotiations with Independents, indicate the high stakes involved in forming the next government, a TOI report stated.
Sources confirm that two luxury hotels in Mumbai have been reserved to accommodate winning candidates from the leading alliances. Located in the Kalina and Bandra-Kurla Complex areas, these hotels will serve as safe havens for legislators to avoid defections.
Winning candidates are expected to head to Mumbai immediately after collecting their certificates, with chartered flights from Nagpur likely to begin Saturday evening or Sunday morning. This move, described as «resort politics,» aims to ensure MLAs remain within the alliance fold under close watch.
A senior BJP leader from Nagpur noted the urgency. «We are confident of securing a majority, but contingency plans are necessary if results fall short of expectations,» he said. Mahayuti leaders have already begun talks with 10 potential Independents who might play a decisive role in government formation.
BJP’s Chandrapur candidate Kishor Jorgewar highlighted the critical November 26 deadline for forming the government. “The Chief Ministerial candidate might even be finalized by Sunday,” Jorgewar stated, underlining the swift decision-making underway.
