During her appearance at the Aalami Urdu Conference 2024, Mahira explained why she no longer enjoys talking about Shah Rukh Khan in interviews. Hosted by Waseem Badami and Tabish Hashmi, the event allowed Mahira to candidly address her feelings about the constant inquiries regarding her experience working with the Bollywood megastar.
«I can never have enough of him, but when someone asks a question about him, I do reply, and then people say that she is quite obsessed with him. That's why I expect them not to ask me, because then they say she wants to talk about it, which I never start on my own,» Mahira explained, emphasizing her discomfort with the way the topic often spirals.

Despite the public interest in her collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, Mahira is focused on her career moving forward. She is currently filming the highly anticipated Netflix original Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo and has also completed work on a film with Humayun Saeed. These new projects represent her evolving career and a shift towards future endeavors.
