Having delivered over 80 residential and commercial projects during the last 28 years of its existence, the Manglam Group — a prominent real estate player headquartered in Rajasthan – has ventured into the hospitality sector by joining hands with Marriott. The group is setting up a resort property near Jaipur, named Westin Jaipur.
Entailing an investment of Rs 150 crore, this 140-key grand resort will be spread across 8 acres of prime land at the foothills of the Aravallis on the Delhi-Jaipur highway and is scheduled to be operational by October this year, just before the wedding season starts.
Considering the emergence of Jaipur as the capital of destination weddings in India, the hotel will be custom-designed to cater to premium weddings. The resort will offer 8 different venues for wedding planners and organizers, compared to the typical 3 to 4 venues available in most hotels and resorts.
Additionally, the property has implemented climate-sensitive solar passive zoning techniques to reduce the impact of solar heat. Also, instead of going too loud on the local Rajasthani architecture, they have preferred to go with a mix of Balinese and local Rajasthani design.
