Singh attended the Manipur Indigenous People’s Cultural Exchange Festival under the theme “Manipur United by Diversity” at Chadong village in Kamjong district.
He said, “Manipur belongs to its indigenous people, and our forefathers defended this land for more than 2,000 years. The government is committed to safeguarding their heritage.”
The chief minister urged citizens to study population and demographic records to counter divisive narratives.
Singh informed about the destruction of 100 acres of poppy plantations, with active support from Manipur Police, Assam Rifles, and civil society.
