Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of the social media giant, recently completed another milestone, this time a personal one.
Taking to Instagram, the billionaire shared a throwback picture of himself posing with his wife Priscilla Chan during their days at Harvard University. In the picture, both Zuckerberg and Chan can be seen sporting casual clothes and matching radiant smiles.
The Facebook boss reminisced about their first encounter at a farewell party and their journey from dating to a 20-year-old (and counting!) partnership.
“20 years since our first date. We met at a going away party my friends threw for me in college when they thought I was about to get kicked out of school. I asked her out but told her we'd need to go out soon since I might only have a few days left. Later on, I started Facebook, we got married, and now have three wonderful girls. What a wild ride,” wrote the business tycoon.
Zuckerberg and Chan’s love story is nothing short of endearing.
The Facebook founder met Chan, at a college party, while waiting in line for the bathroom. Soon one date turned into several, and the duo started going steady. They married through an intimate wedding ceremony in the backyard of their home in Palo Alto California, on May 19, 2012, shortly after Facebook’s historic IPO. The wedding was attended by 100 guests.
The pair has three daughters — Maxima, August, and Aurelia.
Chan is a former pediatrician, She holds a degree in biology from Harvard University and an MD (medical degree) from the University of California, San Francisco.
