The event, featuring an exhibition and various shows, has captivated the public, drawing large crowds to the Ridge Grounds in Shimla.
The event and the festivities surrounding it were inaugurated by Lieutenant General Devendra Sharma, the General Officer Commanding in Chief of ARTRAC, on Thursday.
This celebration not only pays tribute to the valiant soldiers of the Kargil War but also promotes entrepreneurship among Army officers' wives and local women.
«This initiative on Kargil Vijay Diwas commemorates 25 years of victory and promotes entrepreneurship. It also educates the public about the Indian Army,» said Archana Jha, an entrepreneur and Army spouse.
The event has also sparked enthusiasm among the youth, particularly the National Cadet Corps (NCC) members.
«My aim is to join the Indian Army. We are learning many things and meeting senior Army officials here. The exhibition displays weapons, including grenades, which is very educational for us. I want to pay tribute to the Kargil martyrs,» expressed Kusum Rana, an NCC cadet.
