Kalina Marie made the decision to inform her followers of the events leading up to the day after viewers conjectured that there must be more to the story and asked how it could have reached that point without her knowledge, as quoted in a report by The New York Post.
The pandemic prevented her and her husband, who have been together for nine years, from getting married when they had planned to after they became engaged in 2019.

Marie announced their engagement in October and has been blabbing about it on Facebook for the past 10 months. She received 40 RSVPs, but only received 20 people who confirmed their attendance the week before.
