Tom Cruise magic’ is in full steam! The superstar’s latest outing, the espionage thriller ‘Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One’ has demolished box-office records in India. According to the Indian film trade tracking portal Sacnilk.com, the movie has earned a whopping Rs 30 crore in a span of three days! The movie enjoyed a spectacular box-office collection on the opening day — Rs 12.3 crore. Although the second-day collection dipped a bit (Rs 9 crore), it remained rock-steady at the box-office and earned Rs 9.28 crore the third day.
This brings the three day collection to a staggering Rs 30.8 crore. According to the film industry tracking portal, the movie is projected to earn Rs 13 crore on day 4. If so, the movie will collect an impressive Rs 43 crore.
This will make the movie the biggest earner in the ‘Mission Impossible’ franchise, after ‘Mission Impossible: Fallout’, which earned a staggering Rs 80 crore in 2018. Globally, the film continues to shatter box-office records. According to film trade revenue tracking website Box Office Mojo, the movie has crossed the $63 million mark at the global box-office.
Cruise is one of the stars who enjoys a formidable fan following in India. Recently, the ‘Top Gun’ star gave his desi fans a pleasant surprise, by speaking in Hindi during a promotional event. “Tom Cruise speaking Hindi+classic TC laugh and being totally charming as always,” wrote a fan while sharing the video clip.
