Mufasa: The Lion King made its global debut today in multiple languages, drawing significant attention and expectations. This film serves as a prequel to the 2019 hit The Lion King. The Twitter reviews are in with many loving the film, the plot and the detailings, while a few felt that the music was comparatively underwhelming from the 2019 film.
One wrote, “I love Mufasa the Lion King!!! I think I'll go watch it again if I have time. The small detailed expressions on Taka (Scar)'s face were excellent. I actually bought lots of goods too. Tehehe.” Another commented, “Mufasa is a real mixed bag. When it works, it really works. Mufasa's rise can elicit big emotions. But Scar's fall felt unearned. His entire personality changes w/ 1 scene. There are too many rushed plotlines. The songs were all forgettable. Moments of greatness. Many issues.”
One more wrote, “#Mufasa benefits greatly by not being a remake of a better film. A solid story, great music, and technically impressive, all left disjointed by admittedly improved, but still not great, expressionless faces and infuriating Timon and Pumbaa inserts that kill momentum dead.”
Another commented, “I had to think about MUFASA: THE LION KING, as it does have quite a lot of flaws in its storytelling and overall creativity/originality. Yet, when I think back to the 2019 live-action movie, this is so much better to me.”
One expressed, «Wow!I am shocked.#Mufasa is a DEEPLY emotional film, filled with great music and incredible visuals. Disney
