My Hero Academia Season 8: When will final season release? Here’s teaser, global release window and production team
My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya and his classmates at U.A. High School as they train to become professional heroes. They use their abilities, known as Quirks, to protect society from villains. The final season will conclude the story with a major battle.
Teaser
Toho Co., Ltd. revealed a teaser trailer and key art for the eighth and final season of My Hero Academia at AnimeJapan 2025 in Tokyo. The final season will focus on Deku’s battle against the villain Shigaraki.
Global Release Window
The final season will premiere worldwide in October 2025. Crunchyroll has secured streaming rights for international audiences, excluding Asia. The platform will release new episodes on the same day they air in Japan.

Production Team
Naomi Nakayama, who directed the seventh season in 2024, will return to direct the final season. The anime is based on Kohei Horikoshi’s manga, which concluded in Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2024.

Yosuke Kuroda, known for Trigun, will continue handling series composition. Studio Bones, known for Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Soul Eater, and Bungo Stray Dogs, will handle animation.
Several core members from previous seasons will return. Chief director Kenji Nagasaki, character designers Yoshihiko Umakoshi and Hitomi Odashima, and composer Yuki Hayashi will continue their roles. Hayashi is also known for composing music for Haikyu!!.
