Iyanu: Child of Wonder finally has a release date. The show, based on a graphic novel by Roye Okupe, is set to debut on Cartoon Network and Max in April.
Adaptation and Creator
The series is adapted from Iyanu: Child of Wonder, a graphic novel from YouNeek Studios and Dark Horse Comics. Dark Horse Comics is known for publishing The Umbrella Academy and Hellboy. Roye Okupe, the creator of the novel, adapted his own work for the screen. He serves as the creator, executive producer, and showrunner of the animated series.

Voice Cast
The series takes inspiration from Nigerian culture, mythology and music. The voice cast includes African actors. Serah Johnson and Samuel Kugbiyi make their debut in voice acting. Other cast members include Adesua Etomi-Wellington, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Stella Damasus, Shaffy Bello and Ike Ononye.
Release Date and Where to Watch
Cartoon Network will premiere Iyanu on April 5. The series will be available for streaming on Max from April 6. The adaptation was first announced in 2022.

Storyline
