'Naaka Mukka' composer Vijay Antony’s 16-yr-old daughter Meera dies by suicide
Naaka Mukka’ hitmaker Vijay Antony has suffered an immense personal tragedy.
The actor-composer’s daughter Meera died by suicide on Tuesday (September 19).
Trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared the tragic news on Twitter. “Actor and music director #VijayAntony's daughter #Meera has committed suicide by hanging herself at her home this morning. SHOCKING,” reads the post.
Several netizens offered their condolences.
“Her father is one of the good soul I have ever seen. but still…” wrote an X user.
“Absolutely shocking and heartbreaking. RIP,” wrote another.
As per anETimes report, the youngster who was a 12th-standard student at a private school.
She was reportedly undergoing a lot of stress for her upcoming exams. Exam-related anxiety may have induced her to take this extreme step.
She was discovered by her father at 3:00 am in the morning. She was rushed to Kaveri Hospital where she was declared dead.
Several Tamil celebrities mourned her demise and came out in support of the actor.
Calling the suicide “shocking beyond imagination,” actor-politician R Sarath Kumar tweeted, “No amount of consoling and condolences can replace the everlasting grief of Vijay Antony and Fatima. Vijay, I hope the almighty give strength to your family to bear this unfathomable loss. May her soul rest in peace #RIPMeera.”
Actor Gautam Karthik wrote, “My deepest condolences to brother @vijayantony and his family… Truly shocking to hear this… I pray that God gives your family strength during this time.
