Narasimha Jayanti 2024: Story
The legend of Narasimha Jayanti centers around Hiranyakashyap, a king who declared himself the supreme god. His son, Prahalad, remained a steadfast devotee of Lord Vishnu. Despite numerous attempts by Hiranyakashyap to kill Prahalad, Lord Vishnu protected him. According to Hindu scriptures, Lord Narasimha emerged to kill Hiranyakashyap, who could not be killed by any human, animal, or demon, neither on earth nor in the sky, nor during the day or night. Lord Narasimha, in his unique form, fulfilled these conditions and vanquished Hiranyakashyap.
