Nayanthara recalled a moment during a shoot in Pondicherry when she saw Vignesh differently for the first time. Sitting on the road between takes, she observed him directing Vijay Sethupathi and was struck by his charm and demeanour. She said, “I don't know, for some strange reason, all of a sudden, I looked at him, and I looked at him differently.” She also confessed that the first thing that crossed her mind was “he’s a cute guy”.She found his approach to filmmaking captivating and began to see him in a new light.
