Nintendo is reportedly gearing up to introduce a highly anticipated successor to the Nintendo Switch in the latter half of 2024. Although the current Nintendo Switch has garnered praise for its impressive game library, featuring titles like «The Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,» it has somewhat lagged behind in terms of console power.
However, there is no official confirmation regarding the release date of Nintendo Switch Successor.
Nintendo has been notably reticent when it comes to divulging details about the future of its hardware, often remaining elusive when questioned. Earlier this summer, for instance, when investors inquired whether the Switch, released in 2017, was nearing the end of its life cycle, President Shuntaro Furukawa emphasized the longevity of its software, without suggesting it would be replaced by a different console.
Nintendo's strategy involves the launch of two new models by the conclusion of 2024 – a standard version and an all-digital model.
This approach follows a pattern similar to that adopted by Xbox and PlayStation, which have successively released both standard and digital consoles, according to reports.
The anticipated pricing for the new consoles is projected to commence at $400 for the all-digital variant, with the standard version set to be priced at $450, as per reports. These price points align with those of standard Xbox and PlayStation consoles.
