Release Strategy Update
This marks the second adjustment to the show's release strategy. Initially, it was announced that the first episode would premiere on both Hulu and Disney+ and would be available for streaming until January 31. In line with this, the first two episodes are now accessible on Disney+, with the first episode streaming on Hulu. Subsequent episodes will be unveiled weekly on Disney+ until the Season 1 finale on January 31.

Pamela Levine, head of marketing at Disney Branded Television and National Geographic Content, expressed gratitude to the dedicated Percy Jackson fanbase, stating, «We’re so grateful for the amazing and dedicated Percy Jackson fans who have enthusiastically supported this project from the very beginning. They’ve been counting down the days, and as a special thank you, we wanted to let our fans enjoy the first two episodes a bit earlier than expected.»
Long-Awaited Adaptation
The Percy Jackson series has been eagerly awaited within the fanbase since Rick Riordan's first book release in 2005. Previous attempts by 20th Century Fox to adapt the series into movies faced criticism for plot changes and deviation from Riordan's vision. In a notable departure from the film adaptations, Riordan takes on the role of a writer and executive producer for the Disney+ series. The plan is to unfold the narrative over five seasons, each corresponding to one of the five books.
