Good news for Noida homebuyers! After several delays, the registry of several stalled projects has commenced from today. According to a PTI report, the official Noida camp has been set up at Express Zenith Society in Sector 77. Authority hopes for over 100 registries to be officiated on Day 1 of the camp.
As part of the new scheme, registries of over 13,000 flats in Noida will be completed in coming days. The news of the camp being inaugurated comes a week after the Lokesh M, the CEO of the Noida Authority, held a meeting with CREDAI. The PTI report said that the Noida Authority’s top boss met the industry watchdog to come up for a resolution regarding the stalled projects that have become a legacy issue for the area. The meeting was held to come up with a solution for the homebuyers in line with the Amitabh Kant Committee report’s recommendations.
According to an official statement, the Chief Executive Officer of Noida Authority urged officials of CREDAI to comply with a government order issued on December 21, 2023, regarding legacy stalled projects. The order stipulates that all relevant builders must provide their consent and deposit 25% of the outstanding dues to facilitate the execution of sub-lease documents in favor of flat buyers.
Dinesh Gupta, the secretary of CREDAI Western Uttar Pradesh, noted that by the end of February, builders had already remitted roughly Rs 70 to Rs 80 crore to the Noida Authority. Moreover, an estimated Rs 1,000 crore is projected to be deposited soon. This financial boost is poised to accelerate the registration process for approximately 5,000 to 6,000 flats.
