Gurugram, Sohna, and Manesar, as clashes erupted between two groups during a procession organized by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) in Nuh district on Monday. To maintain order and prevent further unrest, stringent measures have been put in place, resulting in a mix of restrictions and allowances across the affected regions:Nuh: The administration has imposed Section 144 and temporarily suspended mobile internet services in Nuh district until Wednesday. Section 144 prohibits the gathering of more than four individuals, as well as the organization of rallies, protests, or processions without prior approval from the police authorities.Gurugram: In the Sohna sub-division of Gurugram, all educational institutions will remain closed.
However, normalcy persists in the rest of the city, with schools, colleges, and workplaces operating as usual. Gurugram ACP Varun Dahiya (Crime) reportedly said that traffic movement remains unrestricted and the internet services continue to function. Citizens were urged to disregard social media rumors and use the helpline number '112' for reporting any information.
Reports from the Times of India indicate the suspension of internet services in Sohna, Manesar, and Pataudi until further notice, alongside a directive that physical classes in schools remain suspended until August 2. Consequently, numerous office-goers opted for remote work as advised by their employers. Notably, fuel stations have been directed to refrain from selling loose petrol and diesel to individuals, except in cases of emergencies in Gurugram.
