Connections is a word-based puzzle game on the New York Times website and app, released daily at midnight. Players are presented with a 4x4 grid of 16 words and must categorize them into four groups of four based on shared connections.
These connections range from synonyms and antonyms to common themes, wordplay, or shared characteristics.
The puzzle challenges players to think creatively while carefully considering word overlaps.
Categories are color-coded, with yellow being the easiest, blue and green offering moderate difficulty, and purple often demanding sharp wordplay skills. With just four lives to complete the puzzle, precision is key.
