Companies House filings from 20 September reveal the registered address for Odey Holdings and Odey Asset Management Group were changed to Swan Walk in Chelsea, shifting from the previous registered address of 18 Upper Brook Street in Mayfair.
In 2020, Odey was charged with indecent assault at the same address, relating to an incident from 1998, a charge of which the eponymous hedge fund manager was acquitted in early 2021.
Crispin Odey removed as person with significant control of Odey AM
The two companies are part of the corporate ownership network of Crispin Odey's businesses.
More specifically: Odey Wealth and Brook AM are owned by Odey Asset Management Group, which is in turn owned by Odey Holdings, of which Crispin Odey is the sole person with significant control.
Odey Asset Management Group was also the parent company of Odey Asset Management, but the company and Crispin Odey were removed as persons with significant control in June this year, with official documents published on Companies House earlier this month.
Michael Ede, COO and CFO of Odey AM, was removed as a director from Odey Holdings and Odey AM Group on 12 June 2023.
Investment Week understands that neither Crispin Odey nor Odey AM Group own the eponymous asset management company, and its ownership now lies with the remaining partners at the company.
Documents published on Companies House on 25 September also revealed that, as of 10 June 2023, Odey AM had no person with significant control.
