The incident, captured on camera, depicts Sen shooing away couples from the park, sparking reactions from the public.
Sen's actions at the garden stirred controversy, with some couples expressing frustration over the closure of OYO Rooms, an app aggregator for hotel rooms, and resorting to public parks for meeting with their partner. In the video, Sen is seen confronting couples about their activities, citing complaints about alleged «indecent activities» in the park.
Responding to Sen's intervention, one individual remarked, «We came to spend time and chat, you had the OYOs closed so we have come to the garden.» Another individual, accompanied by his girlfriend, voiced concerns over the lack of private spaces, stating, «You have had everything closed down, at least have the OYOs opened. We need a private place to meet.»
Sen shared the video on his Facebook saying: «I want to convey a message to all through this video that any kind of public place such as parks, which are meant for children to play and adults to stroll, should not be used by youths to spread obscenity,» he wrote on Facebook.
