murder that might have been misjudged as a natural death was brought to light through an unexpected source: an automatic call recorder. The victim's family was led to the perpetrators and their intricate scheme, thanks to this technological twist. Kiran Yadav, aged 35, meticulously orchestrated the murder of her husband, Hakim Singh Yadav, through phone conversations with her boyfriend, Deepu Shakya, aged 20, just a mere 12 days into their long-distance relationship.
Unbeknownst to Kiran, her phone was equipped with an auto call recording function.
On August 8, Hakim arrived in the city of Kanbha from Etawah, Uttar Pradesh, to join a security services agency. Assigned to a factory in Dhamtawan village on the outskirts of Kanbha, he crossed paths with Shakya, who was both a security guard and a fellow native of Etawah district. Hakim, lacking his own phone, used Shakya's device to notify Kiran of his safe arrival.
Living in Etawah's Biloli village, Kiran would dial Shakya's phone whenever she wished to communicate with Hakim.
A police official from Kanbha stated, «As Hakim used to drink and did not keep well, she would enquire about his habits and wellbeing with Shakya, who initially would just pass on the required information, but later began consoling her. The two soon developed a strong bond.»
Around a week later, Kiran unveiled her sinister plot to Shakya, suggesting that they could marry if Hakim were to be eliminated, and she would offer him ownership of her land. In return, Shakya pledged to care for her four children.
