What happened to PlayStation Network (PSN)?
According to Down Detector, reports of PSN issues started surfacing around 3 PM PST (6 PM EST) on Friday. Shortly after, Sony confirmed the problem, stating that several key PSN services, including online gaming, account management, and the PlayStation Store, were experiencing disruptions.
PlayStation’s official status page also reflected the outage, affecting multiple services:
- Gaming and Social Features – Multiplayer gaming, party chat, and other social features were unavailable.
- PlayStation Store – Users reported being unable to purchase or download games.
- Account Management – Some players could not log in or modify their accounts.
