Rajasthan assembly elections: BJP likely to form government, surges ahead of Congress

Congress was ahead in 77 seats, according to early Election Commission trends for the state assembly polls. The Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) led in five seats, with the CPI (M) and BSP leading in two each.

Independent candidates led in nine constituencies.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and several Congress ministers were leading, while BJP rebels like Yoonus Khan were among the independent candidates leading.

BJP candidate Prahlad Gunjal expressed confidence in the party forming the government.
