The Ram Mandir ceremonial activities leading up to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir, scheduled for January 22, commenced at the temple complex today.
These rituals are set to persist until January 21. On January 22, the essential ceremonies required for the "Pran Pratishtha" (consecration) of the idol of Ram Lalla will take place, as outlined by temple trust general secretary Champat Rai during a press briefing on Monday.
Chief priest Acharya Satyendra Das mentioned that the 'anushthan,' involving eleven priests performing rituals to invoke various «devis and devtas» (goddesses and gods), has commenced and will continue until the consecration ceremony on January 22.
The trust specified that the «Pran Pratishtha» involves seven adhivasas, with a minimum of three currently being practiced.
The rituals are being conducted by 121 «acharyas,» under the supervision, coordination, and direction of Ganeshwar Shastri Dravid. The primary «acharya» overseeing the proceedings will be Laxmikant Dixit of Kashi.
