The story of Zero Day centers on George Mullen, played by Robert De Niro, a former U.S. President who is called back to duty during a national crisis. A massive cyberattack has caused widespread destruction, leading to thousands of deaths and triggering political and social unrest. Mullen heads the Zero Day Commission, tasked with uncovering who is behind the attack.
As misinformation spreads like wildfire, Mullen must navigate the power struggles between major players in technology, government, and Wall Street. At the same time, he must confront his own past and grapple with personal sacrifices to lead the nation toward recovery.
