Senate candidate Sam Parker quickly criticised Selena Gomez, calling for her deportation and claiming she is a “3rd gen descendent of Mexican illegals who received citizenship in the ‘87 Amnesty”.

Tom Homan, the director of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, responded to the actor-singer’s Instagram video by questioning the 32-year-old’s emotional reaction and asserting that the Trump administration has “no apologies” for the ICE raids targeting illegal migrants. In an interview with Fox News, Homan said that the goal was to make communities safer and that the actions were for the greater good of the nation.
