On the BSE, Sanofi India(down 35.09 per cent), Shelter Infra(down 10.00 per cent), Bothra Metals(down 9.93 per cent), Atharv Enterprises(down 9.27 per cent) and Suryo Foods Ind(down 9.15 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 31 stocks traded in the green, while 19 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 63.25 points up at 23386.2.
On the BSE, Sanofi India, Neueon Towers, Borosil Scientific, Tirupati Tyres and PS IT Infra hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Teesta Agro Industries Ltd., Odyssey Corp, Taneja Aerospace, DRC Systems India and Lotus Chocolate touched their fresh 52-week highs.
