The NSE Nifty index traded 78.25 points down at 24262.6, while BSE Sensex was 291.45 points at 79650.73 as of 10:44AM(IST)on October 31.
In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 8.42 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 6.45 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.90 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.
