In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.91 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.87 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.27 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.20 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
