Proxgy, co-founded by Pulkit Ahuja and Inderjit Singh Makkar, made its debut on Shark Tank India Season 1 as a technology-driven company offering innovative solutions. Presenting six patented ideas, the founders showcased their products, which include cameras, code scanners, and voice boxes tailored for businesses needing surveillance and KYC verification. Despite initial skepticism from some judges, they managed to strike a deal with Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal.
The founders initially sought Rs 35 lakh for 1 per cent equity in their company. However, after negotiations, Ashneer and Peyush agreed to invest Rs 1 crore for a 10 per cent stake, valuing the company at Rs 10 crore at the time. This strategic partnership, according to Pulkit, was pivotal in shaping the company's success. “Shark Tank made us what we are today,” he shared in the promo.
Growth Beyond Expectations
Three years later, Proxgy has expanded significantly, now holding a valuation of Rs 400 crore. While the promo highlights this incredible achievement, it remains unclear if Ashneer Grover and Peyush Bansal are still involved with the company.
