Republicans are projected to regain the control of the US Senate once again following the flipping of several Democratic seats which is actually paving the way for US President-elect Donald Trump to eventually advance his policy agenda, reported ABC News. This potential shift in Senate control could eventually facilitate Donald Trump’s Cabinet appointments and judicial confirmations while at the same time it will also allow him to block the initiatives from a possible Kamala Harris administration.

According to ABC News, while all the 425 seats is up for the election, the Republicans lately hold a majority which is pretty slim in the lower chamber. If the Republicans also end up securing the House or Presidency, it would significantly mark the second time Donald Trump has enjoyed unified control of Congress which is pretty similar to his first term started in the year 2017.
