Roku to celebrate SpongeBob SquarePants' upcoming 25th anniversary. The campaign includes unique features on Roku's platform, aimed at boosting viewer engagement and awareness.
Paramount+ and Roku have teamed up for an immersive campaign featuring SpongeBob SquarePants. The campaign will showcase an animated vehicle parade on Roku’s screensaver, Roku City. Characters like SpongeBob, Patrick Star, and Squidward will travel in front of iconic Bikini Bottom landmarks. These include SpongeBob’s pineapple house and Squidward’s home. This is the first time animated cars will be used on Roku, marking a significant milestone for the platform.
In another first for Roku, Paramount+ will take over the Roku home screen with an animated theme. This feature directs viewers to SpongeBob content available on Paramount+. The animated parade in Roku City begins on July 10. The home screen takeover is set to appear on July 14.

Last year, Paramount+ was the first entertainment company to advertise within Roku City. According to Roku, these advertising placements aim to increase awareness of the advertiser's company or streaming platform. Approximately 120 million users see the Roku home screen daily.
