Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals(up 4.14%), Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 3.86%), Fertilizers & Chemicals Tranvancore(up 3.73%), G S F C(up 3.01%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers (up 1.84%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers & Chem(up 1.75%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers(up 1.54%), Coromandel International(up 0.84%), Paradeep Phosphates(up 0.83%) and Madras Fertlizers(up 0.82%) stood among the top gainers.
Rama Phosphates(down 0.93%) and Agro Phos(down 0.81%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 177.5 points up at 19689.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 566.97 points at 66079.36.
Coal India Ltd.(up 5.36%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 3.72%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.57%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.3%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.28%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.14%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.13%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.94%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.94%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.89%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.56%), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.38%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.29%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.25%) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.04%) closed in the red.
