Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market falls
Dodla Dairy Ltd.(up 7.29%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(up 4.93%), Zydus Wellness Ltd.(up 3.48%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(up 3.24%), Hindustan Foods Ltd.(up 3.17%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.42%), Bikaji Foods International Ltd.(up 1.37%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.26%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(up 1.24%) and Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 1.23%) stood among the top gainers.
Future Consumer Ltd.(down 5.82%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 3.82%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(down 2.67%), Dangee Dums Ltd.(down 1.92%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(down 1.61%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(down 1.45%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(down 1.36%), Mrs. Bectors Food Specialities Ltd.(down 0.79%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.46%) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.41%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 21.66 points down at 24509.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 102.57 points at 80502.08.
Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.5%), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.43%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 2.29%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 2.2%), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.04%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.02%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.93%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.62%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.47%) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.42%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
