Stock market update: FMCG stocks up as market rises

Jyothy Labs(up 6.87%), Patanjali Foods(up 5.00%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 4.86%), Dangee Dums(up 3.04%), Heritage Foods(up 2.64%), Dabur India(up 2.64%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(up 2.45%), Dodla Dairy(up 2.34%), Hindustan Foods(up 2.23%) and ADF Foods(up 2.02%) stood among the top gainers. Prataap Snacks(down 3.02%), Bikaji Foods International(down 1.09%), Sheetal Cool Products(down 0.96%), Parag Milk(down 0.92%), P & G Hygiene(down 0.70%), Vadilal Industries(down 0.43%), Gillette India(down 0.39%), Umang Dairies(down 0.22%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.21%) and Zydus Wellness(down 0.16%) were among the top losers of the day.

The NSE Nifty50 index ended 135.35 points up at 19517.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 480.57 points at 65721.25. Cipla(up 3.77%), IndusInd Bank(up 3.31%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.84%), Wipro(up 2.3%), Bharti Airtel(up 2.06%), Axis Bank(up 1.79%), HCL Technologies(up 1.67%), Coal India(up 1.61%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.5%) and LTIMindtree Ltd(up 1.46%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
